[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

1) All I want to listen to anymore is this record and I don’t think it’s coincidencal that I decided to go as myself ca. 1995 for Halloween. (My mom is overnighting my “THE WORLD IS A VAMPIRE” XL Beefy-T as we speak!!)

2) I dunno if anybody’s really stepped up to hammer out the granularity between nostalgia and regression or whatever but I can imagine that is because the results might be depressing. Maybe also because probably once you sit down to work on it, you think, “Oh fuck it, I’m gonna make a microwave burrito and play Streets of Rage 2 like old times.”

3) EITHER WAY my point is: I am experiencing one of those two things and ALSO POSSIBLY recidivism so I’m hoping this is just a case of my adult brian mining my teen brain for comfort food rather than a reflexive abandonment of the trappings of my own adulthood. Flocking back to the apron strings of “nothing to do,” I guess I mean.

3b) Then again it could be because the last thing I opted to seek out as an adult for listening was Asmus Tietchens’ Seuchenbegiete 2. You can’t really pogo to something you’re supposed to listen to with your brain more than your ears. OK problem solved!! Everybody put on Dookie.
